AIT's involvement in this project included the installation and configuration of wireless access points allowing bus & rail Maintenance workers to input work orders remotely with a PDA device. This saves the worker more time and fewer mistakes are made because the information is entered directly to the server. Security for the access points is provided by ensuring all the Access Points and PDA's employ the appropriate security by validating WPA, WEP, LEAP, PEAP, TKIP, MIC, 802.11x, and Fortress encryption. Rogue Detection mechanisms identify all Rogue APs, clients, and built-in tools that actively block or trace rogues. The Security Access Points are proprietary and utilized for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) services at all 21 MTA Divisions. These Access Points are capable of detecting dozens of wireless attacks including Denial-of-Service Attacks, Dictionary Attacks, MAC Address Spoofing, Soft APs, various "stumbler" probes, and Faked APs.
In addition, Advanced Information Technologies, Inc. is responsible for MTA's Fueling Management System Data Collection at 11 of MTA's bus divisions. AIT SystemController is a server based system built using exacting standards for Performance, Security, and Reliability configured for use at a MTA Bus divisions to capture critical data from their fueling islands. AIT's proactive approach to MTA's technical requirements has saved thousands of dollars per year in scheduled maintenance costs resulting in improved efficiency and increased up-time.

The City of Norwalk Transportation Department required a solution for securely connecting their Electronic Fleet Management Software (EFMS) at their Norwalk Transit Facility to the La Mirada Transit Facility. This connection was completely independent from their existing City-wide Network and allows them to transfer data back and forth from their Fuel Management System in a secure environment. This connection was designed and was installed, tested, and certified at both locations by AIT's certified staff. |
